Frequently Asked Questions

I do not accept insurance payments. The rationale behind this decision is as follows: In order for a therapist to be reimbursed by health insurance, a mental health diagnosis must be provided. I do not believe that a single diagnosis should be the sole determining factor in therapy. Instead, when appropriate, I utilize diagnosis as a reference point in identifying suitable treatments and therapeutic approaches. It is my belief that individuals should not be constrained by the limitations of labels. Additionally, many of my clients prefer to avoid having a diagnosis on their medical record, particularly if they are concerned about the potential compromise of their privacy.

It is often the case that the most challenging aspect of initiating any new course of action is making the initial appointment and then following through with it. Almost every client arrives nervous and unsure, but leaves the first session relieved and looking forward to the next. The initial session will be an opportunity for us to address your urgent concerns, explain the process of therapy, ascertain your expectations, and determine the best course of action to achieve your desired outcomes.

Every client is different, and so is every healing journey. I usually suggest starting with weekly sessions for the first month so we can build momentum and get a clear sense of your needs. From there, we’ll decide together what rhythm feels right — whether that’s weekly, bi-weekly, or something more flexible.

Some clients feel ready to move on after just a few sessions, while others choose to continue for several months, or even years, as part of their ongoing self-care. Therapy isn’t a quick fix, but a meaningful process of growth and understanding. You don’t need to know how long you’ll be in therapy — you just need to start. I’ll be here to guide and support you every step of the way.

Yes, I offer therapy packages tailored to your personal needs. These are ideal if you’re looking for longer-term support or want to commit to a deeper process. Depending on the number of sessions you choose, I offer a small discount as a gesture of appreciation for you commitment. If this is something you’re considering, feel free to reach out to me directly — I’d be happy to find the option that best supports you.

You may select either a 60-minute or a 90-minute online session, based on your requirements.
